Quit drinking beer

by beeb, completed 3 months ago

Wow. I'm tired of the bloat. The puffy face and eyelids many mornings. The gut. The major slacker I've become. The brain farts.

I know if I stop drinking every evening after work, I will have more time to read a good book, play cards with my son, and stay up past 9 p.m.

Next actions:

  1. When I go home after work today, I will clean the house.
  2. Then I will make dinner.
  3. Then I will hang out with the fam.

Hi, if you want to stop with something, you need to fill in the gap with something else. So instead of saying "I will stop drinking, so I can play cards with my son", how about "I will play cards with my son, so I don't spend my evening drinking"? Make sure you plan the things you DO want to do (i.e. "play cards with my son" and "hang out with the fam") and then plan the required chores (i.e. "make dinner", which could be something fun too, like make a wonderful dinner with your son, cooking IS FUN!!) around them. It makes everything much more interesting to do!
