Cook at least three recipes per week

by bradb, completed 7 months ago

For the last couple months, I've been consciously eating much better than I used to. I found a great organic restaurant nearby and go there fairly regularly. But now I want to step it up one more notch and start cooking a lot more for myself.

I got an interesting cookbook called "wholefood" by Jude Blereau, which looks like a good introduction. I want to cook at least three recipes per week, preferably from this book, but I'm open to other recipes as well--anything that offers a good balance between taste and nutrition.

I needn't use a new recipe every time, but I do want to make a point of cooking stuff I'm unfamiliar with, which means that anything I make that I already knew how to do before this 30-day challenge doesn't count. :)

I pretty much slam dunked this one. I didn't use the wholefood cookbook at all, but instead relied on Google as my recipe book, and cooked easily three or more times per week.

I'll probably distill my beginner-in-the-kitchen experiences into an article in the near future.
